Senior Digital Marketing Analyst


The Moran Group is looking for an experienced, idea-driven Senior Digital Marketing Analyst. As a team member of our Digital team, you will provide strategy and insights to both our internal marketing teams and our clients. This position will oversee a Jr. Digital Marketing Analyst, with additional support from the Digital Media and Performance Marketing teams.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for analyzing data and website user behavior to optimize marketing channel effectiveness
  • Maintain and grow digital reporting and analytics strategy, compiling data from a variety variety of other marketing tools including: digital publishers, web personalization, heat-mapping, and many others (both paid and organic media) into reporting and visualization tool, NinjaCat
  • This person will develop and maintain dashboards (via NinjaCat and DataStudio) on website and media campaign performance, share insights on channel effectiveness, and provide recommendations (in conjunction with Digital Media and Performance Marketing teams) to support strategic decision-making for our clients
  • Collaborate with members of the digital, product development, and account management teams to provide actionable insights on the performance of digital channels
  • Design and produce dashboards and ad hoc reports to present trends and measure progress against established KPIs, goals, and lead-gen activities
  • Lead analytics and measurement discussion when on-boarding new clients and/or planning new digital campaigns; establishing website KPIs, configuring Google Analytics & GTM to measure results
  • Working with Account team to provide “digestible” insights and takeaways for assigned accounts

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience
  • BA/BS - preferably in a quantitative field such as economics, statistics, mathematics, marketing (this is a very analytical role)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate (in person, via email and via phone) findings for complex analyses
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment (digital media, performance marketing, creative, adops, account management)
  • Demonstrates an ability to think outside the box and take initiative upon themselves in order to solve problems as they arise
  • Advanced level user in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Excel (pivot tables, charts, v-lookups, and dashboard creation), in addition to strong familiarity with regex
  • Experience with Reporting Platforms (Google Data Studio and Ninjacat a plus)
