Job Summary:

The Email Marketing & CRM Specialist is a crucial position which requires an individual to work well within a team and be prepared for a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment. This individual is expected to show resourcefulness, exhibit accountability, work independently and demonstrate initiative. As the Email Marketing & CRM Specialist, you will lead the day-to-day logistics in the strategy, planning, activation and maintaining of Email Marketing & CRM campaigns.  

The Email Marketing & CRM Specialist will spend time working in our client’s CRM to deploy campaigns, monitor performance and reporting of those campaigns, in addition to checking leads, and pulling lists as necessary.  Experience working in eLead, DealerSocket, VinSolutions, and Reynolds CRM systems is a plus, however not required.

Ultimately, this role drives innovation at the campaign level, and cultivates key partnerships to deliver the best Email and CRM opportunities to the client.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
20% - Strategy
  • Works with Account and Digital Leads to develop and recommend email marketing campaigns; including CRM and Conquesting strategies
  • Participates in client briefing, brainstorms, pitch requests, as necessary
  • Provides critical thinking and analysis to draw conclusions and construe actionable implications 
  • Stays up to date with industry trends for tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Works closely with Sr. Email Marketing & CRM Specialist to develop and champion email marketing best practices - related to strategy in segmentation, geography, messaging, templates, providers etc.
  • Assists in creation and presentation of recommendations, defining objectives and strategies, and other related functions

25% - Campaign Execution
  • Develop, test and QA assets
  • Executes Quality Assurance (QA) of functionality and visuals; identifying and solving any issues
  • Creates campaign post launch information such as screenshots, links and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement for clients (as necessary or required)
  • Plan and execute A/B email tests, report results and make recommendations for improvements based on those results (as applicable)

15% - Management
  • Assists in budget management across clients for both CRM & Conquest emails
  • Manage and optimize the design, content, layout, customer segmentation and messaging strategies for direct marketing communications.
  • Helps to support day-to-day communication with key internal and external partners: Vendors, Account teams and Creative

25% - Reporting & Analysis
  • Builds campaign performance reporting inclusive of aggregating information from 3rd parties such as Google Analytics. Google Analytics experience is a plus.
  • Creates and evaluates campaign effectiveness via reporting and post campaign analysis -- providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges
  • Cross-sharing insights and findings with relevant parties (AEAs, digital media team, etc) in effort to leverage learnings
  • Looking for ways to evolve reporting - both in data reported and insights gleaned
  • Manages campaign trend charts and data aggregation

15% - Training & Development
  • Problem solving across all areas of email marketing and CRM -- brings forth issues, with potential solutions
  • Develop and bring forth new ideas for creating efficiencies in day-to-day work and processes
  • Look for areas of opportunity to educate

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Math, Communications, or related field or relevant experience
  • Specific knowledge of digital technology, ie. Google Ads, The Trade Desk, NinjaCat, Doubleclick/Google Campaign Manager
  • Experience with website analysis tools (Google Analytics)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in digital media and/or digital technologies
  • Google & The Trade Desk certifications are a plus
